Rural River Garden, Hampshire

The Brief

A large rural garden where the clients wanted year round interest and the creation of a series of habitats for wildlife. As an active family with teenagers they were keen to make the most of the river view and create areas which could be used by the whole family.

The Solution

By creating multiple ‘garden rooms’ at different levels it was possible to meet the client brief whilst maintaining the view from the house to the river. An intimate walled family dining space near to the house and larger terrace for formal entertaining. A fire pit area and lower board walk over the area prone to flooding and the creating of a bog.
